Question: Will Kent Hire supply quality hire items at the best prices possible?
Answer: Yes we will. We supply quality professional equipment and guarantee the best prices around!
Question: How much deposit do I need to put down?
Answer: We do not charge a deposit on any items you hire!
Question: What happens regarding fuel?
Answer: We will supply all machines with a full tank of fuel, you do not have to refill the machines after use.
Question: Who insures the machines?
Answer: You are responsible for all item you hire. We recommend you take out suitable insurance and keep the hire items safe and checked daily for correct oil and water levels. Larger items like diggers and cherry pickers, insurance is compulsory and will be added to your order automaticlly.
Question: What documentation and Identification do I need to hire plant and tools?
Answer: To hire small tools we don’t require any Identification or Proof of address, to hire larger or more expensive items we will require, photo id, proof of address and a hired in plant insurance certificate – if required, this will be stated on the product page.
Question: Is VAT included?
Answer: Prices shown do not include VAT, when you checkout VAT is shown and added and clearly stated.
Question: Do I need a licence to drive a mini digger or any other plant?
Answer: No, if you are on private land, you do not need any licences to operate a digger or any plant.
Question: Can you supply a machine operator?
Answer: Yes we can, please ask for price for a machine operator when you call. Our operators carry the relevant qualifications to work safely and within the law.
Question: What’s the cost for delivery?
Answer: To find out a delivery charge, add your products to the shopping basket and add your postcode to get the delivery cost.
Question: How do I make a booking?
Answer: You can simply book online, we do not take cash.
Question: How do I pay for the hire items?
Answer: Book your items online and pay by Paypal, Credit or Debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank transfer.
Question: Will I receive a receipt?
Answer: Yes a full VAT receipt will be issued via email
Question: How do I know how many sanding sheets and bags to order?
Answer: You can order as many as you like, simply return the unused items for a full refund.
Question: How do I extend the hire for an item I already have?
Answer: To extend an item you already have, simply make a new order on the website, choose click and collect so you do have to pay any shipping, leave a note saying its an extension of a hire, any fuel on the extending hire will be refunded.
Question: How do I get a refund for a hire?
Answer: If you require a refund, you must email sales@kent-hire.co.uk stating your order number and the reason a refund is required.
Question: How do I move the start date of my hire?
Answer: To move your hire to another date, please send an email to sales@kent-hire.co.uk stating your order number and the new dates required.
Question: What do I do about cancelling an order?
Answer: To cancel an order, please forward an email to sales@kent-hire.co.uk stating your order number and reason for cancelling, please note that cancelations within 48 hour of the hire start date may incur a financial penalty.
